The Difference

Burns Aren’t Like Other Injuries. That’s Why We Handle Them Differently.

Survivors often face long-term pain, extensive medical treatment, emotional trauma, and permanent scarring. These cases need specialized legal strategies, higher damage assessments, and long-term care projections — and a team that treats you like a person, not a file.

We’ve Lived It

Our team knows the medical, legal, and emotional layers of a burn case because we’ve lived them. Stephanie Nygard, a burn survivor herself, is often the first person our clients talk to.

With You for the Whole Recovery

Burn recovery isn’t quick, and every day can bring something new. We stay with you through all of it — with real answers, direct access to your attorneys, and support that doesn’t end when the paperwork does.

Recoveries That Reflect the Whole Injury

We work with medical experts, burn centers, and life care planners to account for every surgery and every year ahead — and we’ve helped burn victims across Arizona secure multi-million dollar recoveries.

Questions

Burn Injury Questions, Answered

How long do I have to file a burn injury claim in Arizona?

In Arizona, the general statute of limitations for personal injury cases — including burn injuries — is 2 years from the date of the injury. Exceptions exist: for minors the 2-year clock usually begins at age 18, the clock may start later if the injury wasn’t immediately apparent, and claims against government entities can require a notice of claim in as little as 180 days. Because exceptions are rare and often disputed, it’s always safer to assume the deadline is two years or less and speak with a lawyer right away.

Do I have to pay anything upfront to hire AZ Burn Lawyers?

No. We work on a contingency fee basis — our fee comes out of the recovery we obtain for you, and if there is no recovery, you owe no attorney fee. Consultations are always free, and we only get paid if we win.

What is my burn injury case worth?

Every burn case is unique. Value depends on burn depth and the percentage of the body affected, hospital stays and surgeries, future medical care, lost wages and earning capacity, pain, disfigurement, and PTSD, and how clear the liability is. Some cases settle for tens of thousands of dollars, while severe cases can result in multi-million dollar outcomes. The best way to understand what your case may be worth is a free review with our legal team.

What compensation can burn victims recover?

Depending on the severity and circumstances, Arizona burn injury victims may be entitled to compensation for medical bills (past and future), lost income and diminished earning capacity, pain and suffering, disfigurement and permanent injury, PTSD or emotional trauma, and home and lifestyle modifications. We work with medical experts, burn centers, and life care planners to pursue maximum compensation.
